The Essence Of Righteousness

I been studying righteousness this week and giving myself to what it produces in us. Were told many times over especially youths to stay away from sin and do right. Unfortunately, sometimes the only explanation were given to do this is because God does not like sin. For many who are deep in bondage this explanation doesn't always give a yoke destroying revelation freeing them from sin.

I found out the following - it is a long email but please read all in your spare time as its very important stemming from the powerful scripture to seek righteousness (Matthew 6:33)

Be blessed...

Living in righteousness and seeking to do good which are both interchangeable gives the person these three things;

1: Guidance (Proverbs 11:3, 5) - Imagine walking down a very dark road. You cannot see much and are lost. As you walk along you notice a street light which gives just enough light to see the next street light. As you travel along eventually reaching your destination.

The Lord has placed streetlights along your path, no one can see their path straight off, its bit by bit. What gets you there is doing good, everyday in daily life. From small to large, from labour of love to labour of love. God will not take you somewhere until you've made a difference in your current surroundings.

The key to the Lords leading is walking about doing good. Consider the Lord Jesus in the gospels: in ministry after every miracle or teaching there was another round the corner, he was led by his good well doing. On the contrary evil doings will keep you stagnant where the enemy is able to fire his arrows at you. If your in a place of attack, keep moving!

A moving target is more harder to be hit so let's do good.

2: Favour ( Proverbs 11:27) - Righteousness also brings about favour consisting of open doors, peace, joy, prosperity and everything you need to deal with the issues of life. God will never place you on a path without necessary resources, this is because in the perfect will of God there is no lack.

"The Lord Is My Shepard I Shall NOT Want" Psalm 23

There is no want, no lack for we are blessed with EVERY spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3)

Then if this is true, outside of the will of God is brokeness, lack, fear & the opposites. If your finding yourself in a dry patch, doors closing in your face it may well be you've moved from the will of God.

The Lord will never demand of you, where he can't supply you.

Doing good secures your favour!

3: Fruit (Proverbs 12:12) - We were put on this earth to yield fruit. Its the overall purpose, to be like Jesus.

"For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son" Romans 8:29

Its Gods' good pleasure to create a generation of people conformed after the image of his son as his son is the express image of the Father (Hebrew 1:3). His children in his own image and likeness (Genesis 1:27)

In order to do this he already prepared the way;

"... and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified" Romans 8:30

God has already justified you by the blood of Jesus giving you free access and liberty to be conformed bearing fruit your sole purpose entitling you to dwell in Christ who sits on the right hand of the father. Seated far above every principality, power, dominion & might - meaning we are all overcomers and more than conquerors! (Romans 8:37)

Yielding fruit is your calling - conforming and conforming others. If this is not done God has no use for us and we have no power.

"I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing" John 15:5

Being our duty to bear fruit, let's thank God that righteousness helps us to yield fruit, more so guiding and favouring us, pleasing him and living in his perfect will.

God bless you all - have a blessed week
